The Town of Signal Mountain is warning the public of the increase in rattlesnake sightings in a few areas around town this summer.
Officials say to stay alert when outside and remember it’s recommended to wear sturdy shoes and long pants when walking in our rural areas.
A spokesperson with the town says, "With more people getting out, especially over the holiday weekend, we wanted to make sure everyone was aware."
