What felt uncertain after Sunday is now the opposite. The Tennessee Titans have decided to fire head coach Mike Vrabel after six seasons.

Vrabel led the Titans to four consecutive winning seasons to begin his tenure at the helm. A run that included a trip to the AFC Championship Game, back-to-back AFC South titles, and the top seed in the AFC playoffs in 2021.

Vrabel also took home the NFL Coach of the Year Award following the 2021 season.

Since, the team has struggled, suffering back-to-back losing seasons. Over the last 24 games the Titans have gone 6-18 with a 1-8 mark in the division.

Vrabel is considered to be one of the better head coach candidates now that he's on the market. Tennessee will now begin a search for their new head coach.Â
