This week, schools are celebrating the importance of reading with Dr. Seuss's “Read Across America" program.
Local 3 News anchors Cindy Sexton and David Carroll visited area schools on Thursday to read to students.
David paid a visit to Dupont Elementary school where the second graders are already avid readers.
Cindy read to fifth graders at Battlefield Elementary after their teachers, Mrs. Sims, Ms. Walden, and Mr. Camp, invited her to the school.
